Don’t they say an undereducated population is easier to control? I believe this has been purposefully engineered by governments and stakeholders over the last 25+ years in an attempt to gain unquestioned control over the population.
Lack of literacy was a concern 40 years ago when I began tutoring and is at a crisis point today. Back in the day, many high school graduates couldn't write a resume or fill out a job application. I don't even want to describe how much it has deteriorated since then.
You have got to be kidding me!!! It's bad enough that University and College Graduates can't add 2 + 2, read or write!!! ABSOLUTE INSANELY!! 😡
When my son and I moved to Alberta back in 1990 the school in Calgary was 1-2 years ahead in education of Ontario schools. He had to repeat grade 1 because of it!
It starts with the entire school system. The teachers seem to only be able to teach to the really smart 10% of students. We need to change our school system. Not all students learn the same. You need creative teachers who know how to show students how to learn. They need to engage with students to help them figure out how their uniqueness can be incorporated to move them forward. Most students can and should be able to graduate, but it starts at home.
The problem with the school system is that there’s currently an expectation that teachers are trained to deal with disruptive behaviour. They’re not. Nor are modern-day kids taught to respect authority figures.
The point is, if you don’t pass you don’t graduate. If your child needs extra help, most teachers aren’t there for them, so you need to get them a tutor.

Universal Basic Income for the kids who didn’t didn’t have the marks to officially graduate. What a country.
Don’t want to offend anyone. What a messed up next generation coming out of the schools.
Have you seen the movie Idiocracy? That's our future. I'm glad I didn't bring humans into this world
