After listening to this podcast and from Smith and Ford, it becomes clear that Canada has an effective and well functioning organization of the Provinces. Given this, it occurs to me that why is it we have and need a Federal Government? It would certainly solve the regional imbalances we suffer under. It would also be a more representative government, one much closer to the electorate. It would actually foster greater unity than our current system can ever hope to achieve. Admittedly, a lot of details will need to be worked out, but it is worth exploring.

Was looking at the UK Lower Court and Supreme Court ruling in 2019, when Boris Johnson prorogued parliament right before BREXIT, that deemed it "null & void". This case set national precedent and we operate under the same system. It's intriguing, but not legally savvy enough to comprehend it's relevance to our current situation.
