We received our power and energy bills today. The part listing the carbon tax is $52.98 for electricity and $149.71 plus GST for natural gas. Fortunately for us in Saskatchewan, Premier Moe has stopped the payments of carbon tax on heating fuel. The total would have been $210.18 and that doesn't include gas for our cars, snow blowers, chain saws, etc. Carney says he would scrap the tax and put something else in its place. He hasn't said what that would be, but he can't be trusted. I sure hope Canadians will show the liberals the door and take down the likes of Trudeau and Carney.
You can never be a 51st State. Economic Union yes, maybe ! Become a US State, go back to the 80's with all the talks about CANADA & Water resources. Not only Oil, but your water would be piped and diverted South. They've been looking at that a century ago ! Check David Orchard, a CDN warrior fighting/defending that aspect of CDA/USA & water !

You realize, Saskatchewan has more oil than Alberta. Uranium Capital for Nuclear, Natural gas, ability of carbon capture and potash at International scale. The metals minerals that Quebec/Ont havein the precambrian shield; 1/2-1/3 of the entire Prov. Has the same shield. Flin Flon isn’t that far up on our Prov on the Man side. Copper, Gold, Nickel. Diamonds found around Davidson area all the way to the Arctic. We have Coal, although not high grade as far as I know. Sask. Has Energy. We as Saskatchewan could be independent ourselves. Most Countries would be jealous of what we have here. I believe in 2023, Sk passed over $10.3 Billion to transfer payments. The Federal Gov’t (Trudeau) locked us into tranfers commitments, right after they collapsed the oil industry in Trudeau’s first 3 years; shutting off the lights in downtown Calgary in year 4. A City of close to 1 Million ?
Before “Alberta” started oil Production, there were test drilling in Sask.. Imp Oil approached Sk to take the oil possibly before Alberta, but the Gov’t wouldn’t give it away. I know because there were test drill’s around or near the family farm & area. The term, Sk. Oil was too thick, deeper down, could be code for the politics & that the Prov. Wasn’t just giving their resources away? But that’s my own theory ?

It will engulf eventually a good part of throughout the Province. Alberta tried a few years ago unsuccessful to claw back a higher percentage return on the oil; but I believe to no success. Sask gets a higher % with most or more still in the ground. But I'm sure Fort Mac more than makes up for any loss there.
The land I mentioned is deeper yet inside the province. But not too much farther than where they're now concentrating. The Politic's isn't quite as heavy as it once was.
