Canada Pledges $10 Million in Humanitarian Aid for Lebanon Amid Escalating Israel-Hezbollah Conflict
Canada is contributing $10 million in humanitarian aid to support civilians in Lebanon amidst the escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. The funds will provide food, water, and emergency healthcare, including sexual and reproductive care. This assistance is in addition to $10 million already allocated by the UN Central Emergency Response Fund, to which Canada is a donor.
The announcement also called for an immediate 21-day ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel. Canada continues to monitor the situation closely and maintains contact with humanitarian partners to address evolving needs.
